Description
This course is designed to provide a review of perspectives and practices for the school counselor in the 21st century with an emphasis on multicultural and diversity issues impacting school counseling with a relevant overview of counseling theory as applied to the children and youth of diverse backgrounds in a K-12 school setting. In addition, counselor self-awareness and skill competencies for effectiveness in the provision of school counseling services will be addressed.
