Description
Students will be exposed to a survey of the ethical, legal, and professional issues associated with the school environment. Using case scenarios, students will explore various legal complexities of counseling children and youth in schools by resolving case scenario's through the application of the professional association codes of ethics (e.g., the American Counseling Association (ACA) and the American School Counselors Association (ASCA), federal law, case law, state statutes, community standards, and school board rules.
