Description

The focus of this course is teacher self-study and reflection on the teacher’s own knowledge, experience, and curiosities for further learning. As such, this course is centered on the candidate as a teacher-learner and the day-to-day practice of the teacher leader. Throughout the course, candidates will engage in an actionable project where they will design and implement a practitioner inquiry within their own educational context. The course outcome is a comprehensive proposal and plan for this practitioner inquiry, including data collection, analysis, and reflection on the findings to inform future practice. This course is a 16-week course that may be broken out into 2 8-week sessions indicated by Part A and B. Part A (1.5 credit hour) and Part B (1.5 credit hour). If a student fails any one part of the course, both parts must be retaken.
