Description

To date, science is the process that has allowed us to reveal some of the best, most accurate information about the universe. This course provides education and training in scientific thought and reasoning and is taught from the perspectives of two different sciences (a behavioral science and a natural science) that employ different tools and have different norms and standards. This course also emphasizes the global nature of scientific endeavors, with an emphasis on how these endeavors shape and are shaped by local communities, particularly across socioeconomic lines. Note: This course may be offered as a travel course with an associated lab fee. PRE-2015 CORE: Level III. 2015 CORE: Belief & Reason, Transform, Interdisciplinary Studies, Global Studies.
