Description
This course orients students to the counseling profession including the role and function of the counseling and counseling psychology professional. Basic concepts such as the history of the profession, ethical and professional standards, and the practice of counseling in a multicultural society will be introduced. The student will learn of other mental health professions and will begin to form an identity as a professional in the counseling field. Prerequisite/Corequisite: PY 694.
