Description
This course is a bridge between theory and practice that integrates key concepts from development, psychopathology, theories of counseling, and assessment. An emphasis is placed on utilizing professional literature to inform theoretically based conceptualizations and treatment of issues presented by practice clients. Students learn how to integrate theory and practice via a variety of methods such as didactics, modeling, peer/live supervision, and individual supervision. Maintenance of ethical, professional, and diversity standards is required. Fee required. Prerequisites: PY 605, PY 630, PY 693, and counseling candidate status. Prerequisite/Corequisite: PY 665.
