Description
This course serves as an introduction to theatre as an institution by providing a multicultural and global understanding. Students will read and discuss dramatic texts in relation to performance from a variety of historical eras with particular emphasis on social and cultural issues and how artistic innovation addresses these. It will give students a greater understanding and meaning of theatre as an efficacious global art form. Designed for non-theatre majors.
