Description

This course will examine trauma-sensitive educational practices that foster resilience in students and teachers and that support student, family, and teacher relationships. What it means to create a resilience-enhanced classroom and/or school to support students’ growth and teachers’ wellbeing will be explored. The concept of secondary trauma and compassion fatigue in teachers and the ways in which stress can impact adult emotional regulation skills and well-being will be addressed.
