Description
The policies & procedures needed to implement a trauma-informed school-wide model will be identified (e.g., a Multi-tiered System of Support). In addition, strategies for supporting trauma-sensitive practices in non-classroom settings will be explored (e.g., school bus, playground, cafeteria, clubs & sports teams). Methods for engaging community and families, and effective practices in teacher and staff professional development in building trauma-sensitive practices at the school & district level will be a component of this course.
