Description
The Psychology Capstone prepares psychology majors for professional success through applied experience, career readiness training, and application of empirical research to practical problems. In the first five weeks, students develop resumes, cover letters, professional references, and interview skills while securing either a 60-hour practicum or an approved applied project. During the remaining weeks, students complete their placement or project, participate in seminar meetings, reflect on professional development, and write a brief research paper connecting empirical literature to their work. The course culminates in a professional presentation demonstrating applied skills, disciplinary knowledge, and preparation for post-graduation goals. Prerequisite: PY 262.
